Day 3: Things Are A Changing

Today, my coach and I decided that the 4 & 2 may not be the right fit for me. She recommended eating a little more protein on the days I exercise over 45 minutes so that my body doesn't go into starvation mode... and I think that's a good idea. Since I had only had one LEAN AND GREEN when we made the change, I just didn't have the other one for dinner. I felt a slight difference. During the day I was tempted a lot by the foods my children ate...especially when they didn't eat it and left it on their plate. Oh.... such yummy food going down the drain. My heart hurts... but my mind is made up. I am doing this! I want to learn to eat better and this is how I am learning to do it.

For me, food is always on my mind. It is something I have always struggled with in the past. Right now, the "food on my mind" moments are "Make sure to eat within 2-3 hours to stay full" and "wow, that small amount of food really satisfied my cravings." Those kinds of things are making it worthwhile. Here's what I ate today.

8:00 HALF LEAN AND GREEN and MF BAR. Oh goodness. Egg whites make a TON of food and I realized that I am never that hungry first thing in the morning. I could only eat half of it, so I ate have a bar and decided to eat the other half of both later in the day. Good lesson for me...eat big meals at lunch or dinner... and if I'm starving...make an omelet.

11:00 MF SHAKE Dutch Chocolate. These are really good...especially if you let them soak a little bit and make sure they are really cold.

1:30 MF BAR

3:30 HALF LEAN AND GREEN and MF BAR

6:30 MF BAR Caramel Nut (Super Delish)

9:30 MF SOUP: Chicken and Rice. Not a favorite. It tastes chunky and weird... but I ate it anyway. Don't have money to throw any of this stuff away. At least it was filling.
